Confirm approvals with Touch ID

M-Client can ask for your fingerprint before it sends an approval, so nobody at your unlocked Mac can approve in your name.

  1. Open M-Client ▸ Settings… (⌘,) ▸ Security.
  2. Turn on Workflow approvals: Confirm workflow approvals with Touch ID. It is off by default.
  3. Choose when M-Client asks:
    • Always (Approve, Reject, state changes): for Approve, Reject, Mark complete and every workflow state change.
    • Only for steps that require an electronic signature.

On a Mac without Touch ID, macOS asks for your Mac password instead. If you cancel, nothing is sent and the metadata card keeps your changes.

Touch ID is an extra check on this Mac. When your vault asks for an electronic signature, M-Client still asks for it as well.

To lock all of M-Client, see Lock M-Client with Touch ID.
