The same views, tabs, metadata cards and workflows your vault already uses, with nothing to reconfigure on the server.

Connect to as many vaults and servers as you need and switch between them in a keystroke.

Mac users have always been the M-Files exception.
Windows users get a desktop client that feels part of the operating system. On a Mac, the same people end up juggling browser tabs, downloads and uploads, or a Windows virtual machine kept alive for one application.
- “Which download is the latest version?”
- “Did I upload my changes before I closed the file?”
- “Why can’t I just save from Word into the vault?”
- “Do I really need a Windows VM for this?”
Everything M-Files does.
Native on macOS.
The latest M-Files platform exposes its full infrastructure to clients, so every feature you use on Windows or on the web is available in M-Client too.

Acme CorporationSearch2?ECRebuilt from the ground up for today’s M-Files.
The first M-Client brought M-Files to the Mac years ago and found its way to many organizations. The new M-Client is a complete rewrite in SwiftUI on the current M-Files platform, built to give Mac users the full desktop experience and to bring M-Files to more Mac-first teams.
- 01Native SwiftUI, made for macOS 14 and later
- 02Feature parity with M-Files Web and the Windows client
- 03Built and supported by an M-Files partner of 18 years
Built by people who deploy M-Files every day.
MechSoft has been an M-Files partner for 18 years and is an M-Files Premier Elite Partner today. Our teams work with hundreds of customers across Türkiye, the Middle East and Africa, and tens of thousands of people use the M-Files solutions we have built every day.
Which M-Files versions does M-Client work with?
M-Client connects to your M-Files server through the same interfaces M-Files Web uses, so the server needs M-Files Web enabled. If your users can sign in to M-Files Web, M-Client can connect.
Do we need to install anything on the M-Files server?
No. M-Client is a desktop app only. It reads your vault’s structure, client settings, metadata card rules and vault applications from the server, so there is nothing to deploy or configure there.
Which Macs are supported?
Any Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
Does M-Client respect our permissions and workflows?
Yes. Every action goes through the M-Files server under the signed-in user, so permissions, workflows, required properties and event handlers apply exactly as they do on Windows and on the web.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes. Enter your Mac’s serial number in the trial form and you receive a 15-day license and the download link by e-mail. Connect M-Client to your own vault and use it with your real documents and workflows.
