Save to M-Files from any app
Every vault connection is also a location in the Finder sidebar, under Locations, named after the connection.
- In any app, choose Save As… and pick the location. M-Client shows the metadata card and creates the document.
- Drop files onto the location to add them the same way.
The locations are save-only: you cannot browse the vault there. Dragging a file onto a location on the same disk moves it, as with iCloud Drive. To keep the original, hold ⌥ while dragging, or use Add to M-Files.
If you cancel the metadata card, your file comes back, so nothing is lost.
